Course instructors will present their subjects in classroom and field trip settings, utilizing audio, visual and site inspection techniques and experiences. The bulk of participant learning will be done in a "hands on" manner, utilizing individual and syndicate projects.

**PLEASE NOTE THAT PAYMENT SHOULD BE IN CAN $ - NOT US**

Projects and a written test will provide the participant with the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of course objectives. Daily case study assignments will prepare participants for the main syndicate project at the end of the course.

This final project will utilize all principals of CPTED, urban planning, architectural and landscape design and land use. Syndicates will be assigned sites and asked to provide design recommendations for reducing crime and nuisance behaviour along with future plans for development.

Each syndicate will make an in-class presentation on the final day.  Presentations will be critiqued and evaluated by classmates and instructors.  Successful participants will be issued with a Level I CPTED Certificate.

Some evening work is involved in Level I CPTED Course. Evening work can be accomplished according to participant’s availability.
