This 5 evening workshop is aimed at community leaders, practitioners, planners, architects, police and security personnel who want a clearer understanding of CPTED strategies. 1st and 2nd Generation CPTED strategies will be presented along with an introduction to the SafeGrowth methodology.

This workshop will be Facilitated by Barry Davidson, ICA Executive Director. He brings more than 2 decades of CPTED, community safety and engagement experience to the classroom.

Those who have worked with CPTED concepts and principles know the benefit they can bring to managing crime and behaviour related problems. The most basic and fundamental CPTED strategies can be useful in a wide range of settings. This workshop will give you the tools to apply strategies and concepts to spaces from the smallest office to home, businesses, malls, parks and community level development.

This program extends the understanding of space and will have you looking at the space around you differently from your first day in class. The workshop includes:
  • CPTED Research & Development;
  • 1st and 2nd Generation CPTED
  • Crime Prevention Concepts & Strategies;
  • Crime & Security Risk Management;
