The ICA is hosting a Regional Asia-Pacific CPTED Forum in Adelaide, South Australia, on 15-16 October 2014. The event will be held at the Marion Cultural Centre, 287 Diagonal Road, Oaklands Park, Adelaide, and is being sponsored by Marion City Council. ICA members and CPTED practitioners from Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the Pacific are invited to attend.

The Theme is “Better CPTED – Multidisciplinary Design for Safer Places”.

John Byrne, BArch BA MTP FPIA FRAIA, Adjunct Professor in Urban Design, Queensland University of Technology, is the keynote speaker.  In his presentation, John will outline, through a series of case studies, recent advances and retreats in city-making.  Dr Paul Cozens from Curtin University, Western Australia, will discuss research in his new book “Think Crime! Using Evidence, Theory and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) for Planning Safer Cities”.
